A new Symbian and Windows Mobile application developed for 2N Telekomunikace, a.s., which makes the communication between a mobile telephone and the Ateus® - Netstar PBX station more comfortable and easy.
What is Mobility Extension?
It is a mobile office provided by the communication system ATEUS® - NETSTAR (a new generation digital PBX (Private Branch Exchange) which supports VoIP technologies). In order to utilize the mobile office features, the user needs a desktop telephone in his/her office and a mobile telephone (or any other external telephone device). Thanks to PBX features, the mobile telephone then works as a parallel line to the desktop telephone in the office, which enables the user to accept all calls on his/her mobile telephone. However, that is not everything PBX has to offer. The user having accepted a call on his/her mobile telephone, can transfer this call to any other user within the network, as if he/she was sitting at his/her desk. Creating a mobile office this way, the mobile telephone gains another telephone number. All your colleagues will simply reach you by dialling your desktop telephone extension. Your customers and partners who call your company through direct dial will not recognize you are not in your office at the moment.

What the first version of the upcoming application brought?
The application makes the telephony on mobile telephones with the Symbian and Windows Mobile operating systems easier thanks to the fact that the user will not need first to dial the PBX's number and then the telephone extension when calling a number within the company, but simply dials the direct number and reaches the desired person. Other features include easier transfer of incoming calls to the company line, Mobility Extension turn on and off, cheaper calling through company lines to landlines and abroad etc.
